The following tours include a variety of historic sites, shopping and local crafts demonstrations. The bus tour itineraries are also recommended as one day driving tours by car. They include directions and approximate times for driving and visits. Lunch is served to bus tours only.

Early Civil War (PDF download) A tour of early Civil War battle sites (June–July 1861) in the area begins at Tygart Lake State Park or in Webster, WV and ends in Beverly, WV. The tour follows US 119/250 over the original route of the Beverly-Fairmont Turnpike used by Union soldiers to march to the battle of Philippi on June 3, 1861, the First Land Battle of the Civil War. Adaland is included on the tour. Total distance for the tour is 50 miles.

Historic Philippi Tour (PDF) Featuring the Covered Bridge that played an important part in the Civil War, this tour of Philippi also includes Civil War items in the Barbour County Historic Museum, historic buildings and unique small shops along Main Street.

Historic Churches and Cemeteries Tour 1 (PDF) Starting at Adaland, this tour focuses on the churches and cemeteries connected to the Robinson and Modisett families.

Historic Churches and Cemeteries Tour 2 (PDF) This tour begins at the Covered Bridge Bed and Breakfast in Philippi, WV focuses on Civil War sites and early settlers of the area.

Stonewall Jackson Country Tour (PDF) Starting in Philippi, this tour includes Jackson's birthplace and family cemeteries and Historic Jackson's Mill.

Stonewall Resort Tour (PDF) Starting at Stonewall Resort this tour includes Buckhannon, Philippi, Adaland and Appalachian Glass in Weston.

Antiques and Collectibles Tour (PDF) Starting at Adaland, or the Covered Bridge Bed and Breakfast in Philippi, WV to Buckhannon— an area rich in antique and curio shops.

Tygart Lake Tour (PDF) Starting Tygart Lake State Park in Grafton this tour includes the Anna Jarvis Birthplace, Adaland, Philippi, and Beverly.

Canaan Valley State Park Tour (PDF) Beginning at Davis,WV this tour includes Adaland and Graceland Inn in Elkins. Adaland is approximately 60 miles one way.

Flatwoods Tour (PDF) Starting in Flatwoods off Interstate 79, this tour includes Buckhannon, Philippi, Adaland and Appalachian Glass in Weston. Adaland is approximately 75 miles from Flatwoods.

Snowshoe Tour (PDF) This spring or summer tour from Snowshoe Mountain Resort to Adaland includes a historic walking tour in Beverly. Distance to Adaland is approximately 100 miles one way.
